Wine Tasting
For many years I have spent at least 1 to 2 weeks a year in Napa, CA tasting and trying new foods. I love everything about the Napa Valley. I love how gorgeous and full the vines look in early summer and I love listening to the rain in a winery that has no one in it in the winter. The food is beyond amazing and the ambiance everywhere you go is fantastic.

Latest Wine Tasting Adventures
This last year I was only able to spend one weekend there, so I had to make it count.
I had two amazing experiences.

Hope and Grace Wines
-
Silver Trident Winery

I did not do a good job at all taking pictures at this cute boutique winery tucked next door to Bouchon restaurant and Bouchon Bakery. Why? Well the experience and customer service was just that GOOD!

I was so excited that I was able to taste indoors at the counter as COVID restrictions in California have made that almost impossible. They were one of the few wineries that were allowing you to come in by appointment.
Their tasting room/boutique were so beautiful and bright. I met their tasting staff and owner who were exceptional. The wines were great as I found out that some of their wines were from Gary's Vineyard! A super big deal in the California Pinot world!
My favorite wines from here:

-
Sauvignon Blanc
-
Malbec
-
Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot Noir
-
Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

I haven't tasted it yet, but I was able to buy a 2014 Petite Verdot from them that I am currently aging. If I can get my hands on a grape that is not normally made into a bottle of wine on it's own, I am trying it!
Visit their website to check out some of the great wines they have to offer: https://www.hopeandgracewines.com/
Silver Trident Winery
Also nestled in Yountville, you could almost miss it as it looks like a cute little house. When you step inside you are greeted by what looks like a house with many different living rooms. The entire tasting "house" is outfitted from head to toe in Ralph Lauren. Many of the items are also for sale. It gave me some great visions for what I want design wise in my house.

I loved the comfort of being able to sit on a sofa and try your wines from a coffee table. Something felt so "at ease" about it. It was pretentious or pompous but relaxing and cozy. I am always looking for that feel in a wine tasting room. Make me feel at home while I am with you, not like I don't belong.

The staff was very kind and easy going which is also another plus.

But what stood out for this experience was the Potato Chip Extravaganza Tasting Experience. Yep you heard me... Potato Chips and Wine!
I first learned about this on Instagram while following a wine blogger I enjoy @watchmesip. She posted about the experience and so I knew I had to try it.

I am so happy we did! It was AMAZING! They have perfectly curated the right chip with the right wine. This is a MUST EXPERIENCE in Napa!

I hope that you will get a chance to check out the Napa Valley sometime soon if you haven't already or in a while. If you are looking for a place to stay, send me a message and I will recommend some places. I am also looking into doing an AirBnB for my vacation property in Napa, I may be able to get you a great deal!
